Derby Friargate island platform, 18 Nov. 1973, looking West towards Mickleover with the subway coming up from the booking hall. The buildings on the platform were timber and had to be demolished following a fire in 1965, a year after the station closed. Although much overgrown, the platform still exists in 2008! |
