Breadsall Station, looking East from the trackbed, as it appeared on Sun. 27 January 1974. The station had closed in April 1953, eleven years before the rest of the line but was still partially lived in at this stage. A year or so later, there was a fire here and it was demolished soon afterPrevious | NextDerby Friargate island platform, 18 Nov. 1973, looking West towards Mickleover with the subway coming up from the booking hall. The buildings on the platform were timber and had to be demolished following a fire in 1965, a year after the station closed. Although much overgrown, the platform still exists in 2008!
